Dream In Delay is an indie-rock band from the suburbs of Washington DC. Amidst a world turned on its head in 2020, Collin Cogan (vocals and drums) and Eldar Cohen (guitar and bass) came together with a collection of untapped musical ideas that captured the jumbled emotions of the moment. Their debut release, Flipped (EP), showcases Cohen’s crunchy guitars ascending atop a punchy drum pulse. The densely layered instrumentals uniquely lend themselves to Cogan’s polished pop vocals.
Strangers to each other but not the stage, Cogan and Cohen lean on their experiences to quickly develop a sound that resembles this millennium’s rock staples with a hint of 90’s nostalgia. Cogan spent a decade drumming for Virginia Beach rockers, The Influence and Step Pets, and later went on to play for the District’s own, The NRIs. With an itch to front a new project he would collaborate with Cohen, who spent six years strumming for international rock band, FeelAbout.
Together, the duo formed Dream In Delay and recorded their first EP, Flipped, set to release in the Spring of 2021.
